Wintergreen Northern Wear: Great place for functional cold-weather clothes: traditional styles with modern materials. I've used and abused Wintergreen gear with excellent results; I love this place.
Wiggy's: Awesome sleeping bags. The colorful, big-name winter bag I used before I learned about Wiggys now lives on the Island of Misfit Gear. It's worth noting that Wiggy offers a formidable guarantee on his bags.
Catskill Animal Sanctuary: It's appalling what some people do to animals. This place is trying to repair as much of the damage as it can.
